Story Text

What single moment stands out to you the most from the 2005-06 season?
The look on Tyler Hansboro's face during the UNC upset and Beating UCONN and Being there.

Tell about your experiences during the Kryptonite Kids' magical run through the tournament:
My wife and I started going to Mason games in '94 why'll she was attending Graduate School. We were hooked and had season tickets from then on. My son is 8 and has grown up going to Mason Basketball. What an experience for him to see how team work, selflessness, and dedication pays off. He wants to play for Mason when he grows up!

We watched the MSU game in our living room, I was confident that they would win (trying to give Tony another game) but was amazed anyhow. One win was sweet. 4 was unbelievable. We couldn't get enough of Mason news throughout the tourney. We watched every news program, listened to every radio show, found every website...We beamed when John Thompson called the Tournament the "George Mason Invitational"! It was awsome to see the life sucked out of North Carolina, Then to be in the Verizon Center to see the trouncing of Wichita State and I have never attended a game in my life like the UCONN game. No words can quite describe the experience. And on top of it all to see how the players reacted to it all and how the fans and students reacted was just awsome. I couldn't help notice the contrast after UMD won the Womens championship and people were over turning Busses and stuff to that which was happening on Mason's campus, just pure joy in the moment.

What do you think this moment means for George Mason University?
It has totally changed the university from students on up. You can see how everyone has come together. Mason pride is everywhere. The exposure is unbelievable. Hopefully the team will be having recruits call them up and that going to the Tournament will be common place, and a National Championship is next on the agenda. Let's get that floor in the Patriot Center!
