Story Text

What single moment stands out to you the most from the 2005-06 season?
Beating Wichita State in in Kansas - after that, it was on

Tell about your experiences during the Kryptonite Kids' magical run through the tournament:
I was told on Thursday at 2:00PM that I had a ticket waiting for me if I could make it down. Flights were $700 so I drove from my home in Rochester, NY to Reston to meet up with my fraternity brothers. From there we went to the Wichita State game and experienced euphoria. I almost drove home Sunday without going to the game as I figured they'd lose by 30. I'm glad I stayed and went as the Uconn victory is now the highlight of my sporting life and I've been to the Olympics, the Final Four, Cal Ripkins game 2121 and a few other great games in person. This was the best by far. As my buddy said on the phone as OT started, "The whole nation is rooting for George Mason right now." They were and we won!!

What do you think this moment means for George Mason University?
A feeling that we are more than just a state university commuter school. Everyone knows who George Mason University is now and that brings a sense of pride unlike I've ever had when it came to my school.
