Story Text

What single moment stands out to you the most from the 2005-06 season?
Before the season started Gabe, and Coach L spoke at our Sorority meeting and we had a meet and greet with them. We also made shirts saying "Larranaga is my homeboy"... to be able to say that we did support them from the begining of the season and I have since my freshman year is great... and now there are soo many fans... and MUCH more school spirit! Its nice seeing the transformation... and to see a school get as far as it did with a smaller budget than many schools have... just goes to show money is not everything when you have a great coach and great players that can work as one!

Tell about your experiences during the Kryptonite Kids' magical run through the tournament:
I went to Indy and I was AMAZED by all the people who were there for Mason and all the emails I received through facebook from other schools saying they were rooting for us.. I can only imagine how many emails the team got..

Another favorite part of the trip was in the Championship game the crowd began cheering "Larranaga" even though we were not playing and everyone around us regardless of school also cheered for him...

What do you think this moment means for George Mason University?
I think that there will be a higher fan turn out next season and much more money in the sport budget. With all that comes more SCHOOL SPIRIT and more interest in coming to Mason... hopefully the PR worked not only for our wonderful team but also as a great school to attend in VA!
