Story Text

What single moment stands out to you the most from the 2005-06 season?
Listening to Coach L speak in Dayton after the Michigan St. win.

Tell about your experiences during the Kryptonite Kids' magical run through the tournament:
On a whim I took a March Friday off, hopped on a bus full of students and alumni, and trekked nine hours to Dayton, OH. Little did I know that the trip would be the start of something even larger.

The friends that I made along the way made the trip wonderful -- Partying at The Foundry, breakfast after the first win when Ohio State fans were mobbing us to find out where GMU was, to the small sea of green and gold fighting through the crashing wave of Ohio State red on Sunday.

The wins, the mystique, it was all worth every moment in the uncomfortable bus. And the rush didn't end there. I can say "I was there" if anyone ever talks about the start of the greatest NCAA run in our time.

What do you think this moment means for George Mason University?
This helps bring us into the forefront even more. The school has made great strides academically over the last decade, but with the national microscope turned on us, we should gain more presitige and interest.
