Story Text

What single moment stands out to you the most from the 2005-06 season?
Riding the Metro to the UCONN game

Tell about your experiences during the Kryptonite Kids' magical run through the tournament:
I'm Jordan Carter's mom and after they won the UCONN game my family and I (along with hundreds of others) were waiting for the Metro to go back to the hotel. As you can imagine it was extremely crowded. I was holding a picture of Jordan on a stick that all the parents had of their kids. Somebody behind me saw this picture and yelled "Mason Mom, Let Her Through" and all of a sudden there was a path to board the train and we were allowed to get on and get seats. Not only were we happy about getting to board first, but about how great the GMU fans are. Once on the train the students asked a lot of questions about Jordan, Indianapolis and how we were enjoying our stay. I'll always remember this.

What do you think this moment means for George Mason University?
I think it shows outsiders that GMU is not just some commuter college in Fairfax. GMU has the greatest fans and the school spirt to match any college in the country.
