What single moment stands out to you the most from the 2005-06 season?
My story starts even before Mason got into the tournament. I was skiing in Colorado the weekend that Mason played at Wichita State. The game was on ESPN2 at 6:00 mountain time. I knew the game was important, so I let my friends go to dinner without me while I rooted on the Patriots! The next day, I was in a ski life with two other people. It was a slow lift. After the normal pleasantries were exchanged, my liftmates turned out to be from Wichita! I innocently asked if they had seen the game the night before. The Husband said he had, and he was dissapointed because his team lost. I casually admitted I was a George Mason grad! We had a nice chat about the two programs. It was SO COOL to be able to brag about the GMU basketball team two-thirds of the way accross the country! By the end of the lift ride, the Husband he would be rooting for GMU the rest of the way. Then, as I started to depart the lift, I could have sworn he hip checked me! I fell down to the right as he skiied away to the left. Guess I took one for the team!

Tell about your experiences during the Kryptonite Kids' magical run through the tournament:
The most amazing experiences were after the wins over UNC and UCONN. I was a Brion's Grille for the UNC game. Total disbelief and total celebration when the buzzer sounded! After the UCONN game, I got a call from a friend: Patriot Center was going to open for a rally when the team returned from Verizon! I rushed over, and was part of the 6000 or 7000 folks who greeted the team when they returned! What an experience! I don't think I will EVER forget the scene: The final score on the scoreboard, FINAL FOUR on the message board, and the entire arena signing the chorus to Living on a Prayer!

What do you think this moment means for George Mason University?
This was our moment in the sun - long overdue! I hope that the school will continue to grow as more and more people recognize that George Mason is a very good school!
